JSC Central Telegraph is one of the leading telecommunication operators in Russia; its history is more than 150 years. Its activity is closely related with the development of communication in Russia, it is one of the companies that laid the foundation of telecommunication industry in this country. With the improvement of technologies and changes of life the company changed and adapted to new environment by developing network infrastructure, implementing modern technical solutions, penetrating to new markets and attracting customers by high quality and variety of services.
Today the company is on of the ten largest alternative operators of fixed communication and Internet in Russia, The region where the company runs its business – the city of Moscow and the Moscow region – is the most active and the most demanding to the quality of service place in Russia. Technological resources of the company allow to implement large telecommunication projects in Moscow and in the towns of the Moscow region. 
Technological platform for the development communication services of Central Telegraph is its own fiber-optic network with the length of about 2000 km in Moscow and in the Moscow region with more than 400 access points. The transport network has ring-shaped structure and is built on the basis of SDH, PON, DWDM and Metro Ethernet technologies using network equipment by leading international manufacturers. The telephone network of the Central Telegraph includes four backbone transit nodes in Moscow with total switch capacity of more than one million numbers, eight terminal transit nodes in the Moscow region and more than 70 subscriber outlets. The IP network is developing on the basis of the most advanced technologies. The capacity of the modem pool of the company is the third largest in Moscow. JSC Central Telegraph successfully uses wireless CDMA technologies in underpopulated districts, organizes access to the network within residential and office sites on the basis of the Wi-Fi technology.         
Powerful technical resources of the company allow to implement large telecommunication projects. Their implementation allows to provide modern complex solutions and new generation services to organizations and to provide wide range of telecommunication services to individual customers.

For corporate customers JSC Central Telegraph provides complex approach to organization of business communication: complex implementation of telephones in the office, high-speed access to the Internet, the company organizes corporate networks, provides channel leasing services, traditionally provides services of documental communication.           
The company implement projects for the construction of corporate telecommunication systems integrating telephony and other types of communication in Moscow and in the Moscow region, provides wide range of supplementary services allowing to organize office activities in the most optimal way (multichannel number, conference communication, voice mail, readdressing and forwarding calls, short numbers, number identification and others).
Taking into account the fact that new customers of the company – organizations and individual customers – buy communication services in the buildings connected to the network of JSC Central Telegraph, the most important sales channel is the partnership with property developers and owners.

For property and residential real estate JSC Central Telegraph installs telephone lines in the residential real estate in Moscow and the Moscow region as a co-investor of the real estate. Being a telecommunication operator, the company takes obligations for organization and financing of complex works on the provision of advanced communication services to residential complexes with provision of all necessary documents.

For the purpose of development of sales channel to legal entities – tenants of premises, Central Telegraph offers to investors, developers and owners of commercial real estate complex solutions for organization of telecommunication infrastructure in the building under construction and reconstruction with installation of digital telephone exchanges and fiber-optic communication lines to the sites. Such organization of work allows to provide all modern communication services to corporate customers in due time.

More than 4000 companies in Moscow and the Moscow region selected Central Telegraph as their telecommunication operator. Among the customers of the company are: Presidential Administration, ministries, embassies, large banks including the Central Bank of Russian Federation, construction and investment companies, trade retail chains and many others.
JSC Central Telegraph works on the operator market. The company offers to Russian and foreign operators mutually beneficial partner cooperation with regard to leasing of digital channels of the transport network, connection of operators in 498/ 499 area codes to the public telephone network (PSTN) via JSC Central Telegraph's network, it organizes access of telecommunication operators to company's Internet network, etc. 
At present the company pays special attention to the production and provision of telecommunication services to residential customers. Segment of individual customers (residential customers) is the key segment for JSC Central Telegraph. The company already has a strong position in this segment; it is defined by considerable subscriber base, loyalty of customers, positive image and established relations with administration bodies in Moscow districts and in the Moscow region towns. For residential customers JSC Central Telegraph installs home telephones with numbers in 495, 499 and 498 area codes, provides high-speed access to the Internet, organized access to the services of domestic and international long-distance telephone communication.
Next year JSC Central Telegraph plans to provide a package of Triple Play services to residential subscribers: digital telephone communication, high-speed access to the Internet, modern interactive television, as a single operator of Triple Play services in Moscow and in the Moscow region offering to the customers the whole range of home services. The services will be provided under the brand name QWERTY.
JSC Central Telegraph offers as "box products" a number of modern telephone services based on the convergence of mobile and fixed communication and capabilities of the intelligent platform. Among them is MegaTel service providing unlimited rate and content services to the subscribers of mobile network with possible access to inexpensive domestic and international long-distant communication over IP network.
New line "baza" is represented on the market by two products: baza office" and baza mobile".  "Baza office" service is designed for those people who communicate and move a lot, to whom a telephone set is "an office in their hands"; "baza mobile" combines the functionality of MegaTel and "baza office" products. Today more than 5000 subscribers use the products of JSC Central Telegraph.
 For one and a half century Central Telegraph provides services of documental communication (telegrams, Telex, facsimile communication, business mail over X.400 protocol). During recent years the demand for these services from legal entities is growing: documental communication ensures reliability and guaranteed delivery of a message to the addressee. These features of the services today retain high consumer value. At present the company together with the Post of Russia works on modernization of the telegraph service and on the provision of new services based on telegraph services in Moscow.
Today JSC Central Telegraph provides telephone services to 35 thousand subscribers in the Moscow region; the services of broadband access to the Internet are provided to 55 thousand subscribers, 5 thousand of them are ADSL subscribers in the Moscow region and 50 thousand are connected with Ethernet technology to the network of ZAO Centel subsidiary in Moscow.

Today the quality management system built in the company complies with the requirements of international standard ISO 9001: 2000 applied to telecommunication services.
