JSC Central Telegraph as a famous telecommunication operator long ago was
justly recognized in Russia and abroad.
During one and a half centuries Central Telegraph provided services of
documental communication such as transfer of telegrams, telex and fax messages.
With the development of technology and changes in life in Russia in the second
half of 1990's, the company started the process of diversification of its
activities, adapted to new environment by developing its network
infrastructure, implementing advanced technical solutions, coming to new
markets and attracting customers by quality and variety of services.
Now JSC Central Telegraph is one of the ten largest alternative operators of
fixed communication in Russia.
As a provider of modern high-tech telecommunication services the company has a
vision of the development in implementation of its mission: "By supplying
access to innovative solutions and advanced telecommunication technologies we
provide residents of the Moscow region with infinite possibilities in selecting
services that create new quality of life and high level of comfort at home and
in business life".
The company implements a number of innovative projects that are the basis for
provision of modern telecommunication services to the residential and corporate
customers of the Moscow region.
One of the key projects of the company is the construction of a
unified multiservice broadband network in Moscow and in the Moscow region. The
construction was started in 2004 by JSC Central Telegraph and its subsidiary,
ZAO Centel. The network is built on the basis of Metro Ethernet and Ethernet To
The Home technologies and allows to transfer all existing types of information.
At present the network covers more than 30 districts of the city, and the
construction continued in 11 towns of the Moscow region – Lyubertsy,
Balashikha, Odintsovo, Korolev, Mytishchi, Khimki, Krasnogorsk, Lobnya, Reutov,
Dzerzhinsky and Zheleznodorozhny. The network covers more than 600 thousand
apartments in Moscow and about 200 thousand apartments in the nearest Moscow
region towns. District networks are connected between them and are the nodes of
the Unified Multiservice Network of the Moscow region. With the connection a
subscriber gets a universal line allowing to deliver to the apartment the whole
range of communication services – Triple Play services (digital telephone
communication, access to the Internet, video).
