RADIOTEL network services

Main purpose of public radio-package cellular data transfer network RADIOTEL is to ensure quick and reliable transfer of short messages (data).

Radiotel network is a combination of REGIONAL networks: Moscow and the nearest Moscow suburbs, St.-Petersburg and the nearest districts of the Leningrad region, Nizhni Novgorod, Magnitogorsk; it will be rolled out in Ekaterinburg and other Russian cities. All network equipment is certified by the Ministry of Communication of Russia. Network operator - JSC Central Telegraph - has the license for operations all over Russia and the permission of the State Committee for Radio Frequencies for the use of frequencies within 439-449 MHz range.

Typical areas where Radiotel services are used:

• Connection of ATMs and POS-TERMINALS (at department stores, gas stations, airports, historical buildings, ships,…);
• Connection of terminals of TOTO and LOTTERY agencies;
• Connection of FIRE ALARM and SECURITY systems;
• Organization of dispatching systems of municipal HEATING, WATER, POWER, GAS facilities;
• Organization of VISUAL DISPATCHING systems and car, ship, construction machine SEARCHING systems;
• Organization of MOBILE OR TEMPORARY trade and service points at congresses, exhibitions, conferences, public festivals, etc.;
• Access to X.25 wide-area data transfer networks;
• Access to TELEX network and provision of TELEX number;
• Access to databases;
• Transfer of e-mail, fax, telegram messages.
